Dan is a licensed roofer who inspects every roof himself and tells you honestly whether it needs a restoration, a repair or nothing yet. Every restoration comes with a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
Camden is one of the oldest towns in the Macarthur region, and you can see it in the mix of homes. Around the historic town centre there are older homes with terracotta and concrete tile roofs that are well past their first restoration, while the estates around Camden are much newer.
On older roofs, the tiles have usually lost their surface coating, the pointing on the ridge capping has cracked, and moss and lichen have built up. On newer homes, the first problems tend to be smaller, like cracked pointing, a few chipped tiles or flashing that has lifted around a solar panel or vent.
Dan has already worked in Camden, including the restoration pictured below. He’ll get up on your roof, explain what he finds and tell you honestly whether it needs a restoration, a few repairs or can be left for now.
If your roof only has a few cracked tiles, some loose capping or a leak after a storm, a repair may be all it needs. We find the cause of the problem and fix it properly.
Standard repairs to tiles and capping usually take between a couple of hours and a day.
When your tiles have faded and the ridge capping is cracking in several places, a restoration brings the whole roof back into good condition. This is often the right next step for Camden’s older homes.
We restore all three main roof types:
Every restoration includes cleaning, replacing broken tiles, redoing all the ridge caps and three coats of paint, one primer and two colour coats.
If your roof has reached the end of its life, we can replace it with new tiles or with Colorbond. We’ll give you honest advice on whether replacement is really needed and which material suits your home.
Reroofing is priced at $120 to $130 per square metre, whether you are going tile to tile or tile to Colorbond.
If your roof is sound but faded or covered in moss, a clean or a repaint can refresh the look of your home. Gutter cleaning and whirlybirds help keep your roof in good condition between bigger jobs.
Before any paint goes on, we clean your roof and repair any damage, so the coating has a solid surface to bond to.

Roof restoration is priced at $20 to $28 per square metre, which is usually $4,500 to $6,500 for a single-storey home and $7,000 to $8,000 for a double storey. Smaller repairs, such as replacing broken tiles and redoing some capping, generally cost $1,000 to $2,000. Every quote is free and comes after we’ve inspected your roof.
A newer roof rarely needs a full restoration, but small problems can still turn into leaks. Cracked pointing, a chipped tile or lifted flashing are simple to fix when they’re found early, so it’s worth having your roof checked after a big storm or if you notice a stain on a ceiling.
If the problem is limited to a few cracked tiles, a leak or some worn pointing, a repair is usually enough. If the whole roof has faded, the capping is failing in several places and moss is spreading, a restoration is better value than repeated repairs. Dan will inspect your roof and recommend the option that suits it.
Common causes are cracked tiles, worn ridge capping, blocked valleys and gutters, and damaged flashing around chimneys, skylights, vents and solar panel fixings. On older homes, worn pointing and cracked tiles are the most common culprits.
A full roof restoration typically takes about two days, depending on the size of the roof and the weather. Standard repairs to tiles and capping usually take between a couple of hours and a day.
Roof Ranger restores terracotta roofs, which are common on older Camden homes. The roof is cleaned, broken tiles are replaced, the ridge capping is rebedded and repointed where needed, and the roof is coated to suit terracotta. Every restoration comes with a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
