What affects the cost of your new roof

- The size of your roof. A larger roof needs more material and more time, so the total rises with the area.
- Pitch and design. A steep roof, or one with lots of hips, valleys and changes in height, takes longer to strip and install safely.
- Access. Double-storey homes and tight sites need more set-up before work can start.
- The timber underneath. If battens or roof timbers are damaged, they need repairing before your new roof goes on.
